One word: Wow! Using a pair of Monitor Audio R90HD book shelf speakers and an old laptop charger the sound quality is unmatched at that price point and volume goes very loud - while using almost no power. Sound is loud, clear and similar to what the old Tripath Class-D amplifier chips was known for - soundwise like you'd take the best from transistor and tube amps in one package. Transistor punch but with the warm clear sound tubes are known for. Should there be a nit picking it has some faint hiss at low volume or no sound. It could be a little lower but really it's not so much to be a deal breaker - and especially at this price point. Just be sure to set gain to lowest possible to minimize hiss - and really it's enough. In fact I think about modding it to get even lower gain - but that's another story. It's clearly the CSR chip is vastly superior to many cheaper chips - even though it "only" supports SBC - it gets every drop of quality possible out the SBC codec and it's actually not bad at all when everything else is good quality.
